John Brown’s Body’s founding drummer Tommy Benedetti is facing a significant medical situation and could use the support of the reggae community.
Tommy has been a cornerstone of JBB since the band’s inception, playing every show and performing on every recorded note across three decades of groundbreaking dub and reggae music. From the band’s earliest days in the Ithaca, NY scene through their acclaimed catalog on Easy Star Records — including KINGS AND QUEENS, FIREFLIES, “40,000 Years”, and the recent “Sword of Sorrow Dub” — Tommy’s powerful, precision drumming has been the heartbeat of the JBB sound.
The band has set up a GoFundMe to help cover Tommy’s medical expenses during his recovery. If you are willing and able, please consider donating and spreading the word.
