DOUBLE TIGER is BACK! This is the third new single from the celebrated reggae iconoclast and former member of John Brown’s Body in the last year, and the second collaboration with the legendary rhythm section of Sly & Robbie.
The first, last summer’s “Yearning,” was a bomb blast of classic rub a dub energy, and “Walk Away” follows in those footsteps, with a heavy riddim, blaring horns, and Jay Spaker’s plaintive, sorrowful vocals over top.
The release obviously has added poignancy with the recent death of Sly Dunbar, meaning that any collaborations like this will become fewer and farther between. The track – and its corresponding dub – was mixed by Craig Welsch, a.k.a. Dub Fader, of 10 Ft. Ganja Plant.
