“Persistency” finds Flying Vipers teaming up with legendary Jamaican vocalist Earl Sixteen for a deep meditation on maintaining direction and sense of self. In the fight for equal rights in a divided world, persistency is our strongest weapon.
This song is a new take on "Astral Underground", the instrumental opener of Flying Vipers latest album, OFF WORLD, which has been getting airplay worldwide from tastemakers like David Rodigan and Don Letts.
Earl Sixteen has worked with virtually every classic JA producer from the '70's, from Coxsone Dodd to Lee Perry to Joe Gibbs, moved to the UK in the '80's and continued work with Mad Professor, Dreadzone, and more, and can now be heard floating effortlessly through the murky channels of Vipers' basement bunker.
