Live Lizards Flying Vipers

Released: May 1, 2026 Album
Live Lizards

Whenever Boston's Flying Vipers make one of their too-rare live appearances, the band brings both devotion to playing JA-inspired roots music, and the spirit and culture of DIY punk rock. The set captured in December 2025 (the Year of the Snake) features the 7-piece unit in top form with a palpable surge of energy contained within the basement walls of the intimate Lizard Lounge in Boston. The opening suite is a 15-minute showcase spanning their first few tape releases, along with a hidden gem from Studio One, followed by tons of music from the recent OFF WORLD album, as well as guest appearances by Roger Miller (Mission of Burma) and Rob Carmichael (Destroy Babylon).

The CD and the Opening Suite (the first three songs of the performance) are both OUT NOW on all DSPs! The full 77-minute concert album is available exclusively on Bandcamp and physical formats. A limited edition cassette, first run of 100, includes the complete OFF WORLD record release show and ships in July.

Singles from this Album

"Flying high from two of the best reggae/dub albums this entire decade, Boston's FVs keep momentum bubbling on an enthralling live document. I don't know what's better, the high-groove '70s reggae rhythms on seven covers... or 10 fresh originals such as the mesmeric 'Astral Underground' and a quietly breathtaking “Existential Dread at the Controls”".' Mission of Burma legend Roger Miller adds to the fun twice, and when handed a mic, Kellee Webb remains honey-throated, whilst the band's Sly & Robbie-esque Beaudette brothers, guitarist Sean Acker, keyboardist Zack Brines, and Andy Bergman and Brian Paulding's sharp, spicy horns are all stars. First rate—again." – The Big Takeover
