Live At Red Rocks Rebelution

Released: October 28, 2016 Album
Live At Red Rocks

Recorded at the legendary Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado, LIVE AT RED ROCKS documents a pinnacle moment in Rebelution's career, capturing the band holding court at one of the most hallowed venues in American music. Filmed during the massive COUNT ME IN tour, this project serves as the band's first-ever official live audio and video release, offering fans a front-row seat to the high-energy, technically precise performance that has made them one of the most successful touring acts in the reggae-rock scene. The natural acoustics of the monoliths and the electric energy of the sold-out crowd create an atmosphere that is palpable even through speakers, elevating the band's studio polish into something raw, communal, and triumphant.

The setlist reads like a "greatest hits" of the band's first decade, showcasing their evolution from college party favorites to festival headliners. Spanning twenty-one tracks on the audio album, the collection breathes new life into anthems like "Safe and Sound," "Fade Away," and "Feeling Alright," allowing the band to stretch out with extended jams, improvised solos, and a heavier, dub-inflected low end that only hits this hard in a live setting. Whether experiencing the show through the audio or the accompanying DVD, the release highlights the band's unique ability to blend tight, radio-ready structures with the loose, organic vibe of a jam band.

Beyond the hits, the album serves as a masterclass in modern reggae musicianship. The live mix brings the thunderous rhythm section of Marley D. Williams and Wesley Finley to the forefront, creating a heavy, driving foundation that allows Eric Rachmany's vocals and Rory Carey's keyboards to soar over the top. It is in this live environment that the songs truly evolve; tracks like "De-Stress" and “More Love” are given new weight and urgency, stripping away the studio sheen to reveal the grit and soul underneath. It's a testament to a band that refuses to rely on backing tracks, delivering a performance that is entirely human and incredibly tight.

The release is also a testament to the sheer scale of the band's journey, framed perfectly by the show's emotional arc. From the tension-building "Intro" that sets the stage to the euphoric, singalong finale of "Sky Is The Limit," the performance captures the powerful, symbiotic connection between the band and the thousands of fans singing every word back to them. It isn't just a concert recording; it's a victory lap for a band that built their following the hard way—one show at a time—cementing their legacy as the standard-bearers for the modern American reggae movement.
