HEADLINES BY UNIFIED HIGHWAY
Eric Rachmany (Rebelution) and Amp Live (formerly of Zion I) have teamed up again to create Unified Highway’s next groundbreaking album Headlines. While the two may possess different backgrounds, they both travel the same creative road and have combined to forge their own sound as Unified Highway. Headlines builds on the foundation their first self-titled album, but adds new layers, features, and more infectious excursions in electro-reggae-pop music, along with appearances by Reverie, Del Tha Funky Homosapien, Beebs, Million Stylez, Courtney P (of New Kingston), and Karim Israel (of Arise Roots).
The first single “Headline” features Eric’s infectious chorus melodies over Amp Live’s hard-hitting beats – Unified Highway’s unmistakable signature sound that isn’t quite like anything else. On the single Rachmany says, “‘This song is basically saying, ‘we have a new headline and a new message of acceptance.’ It’s time to focus on what we all do right.” Amp Live enthusiastically elaborates on the new single, “‘Headline’ is a great song to pave the way for our second album. We really wanted this project to pick up the pace and be straight to the point in terms of message and sound. The track does it all. This was actually one of the last songs completed for the project, so I am glad it happened.”
