Protoje Announces Headlining U.S. West Coast Tour
On the heels of his fourth album A Matter Of Time debuting at #1 on the U.S. Billboard Reggae Album Chart, the Jamaican star Protoje announces new headlining dates for the end of the summer across the West Coast. The shows fall amidst his recently announced pair of dates supporting Ms. Lauryn Hill's tour. Tickets will go on sale this Friday, July 20. Protoje Drops His Most Experimental Album Yet, A Matter Of Time
The Jamaican artist's forward-thinking album channels an array of styles and sounds from reggae, dancehall, dub, hip hop and rock into a cohesive 10 track LP. All songs were recorded at the legendary Marley-owned Tuff Gong Studios in Kingston and maintains the essence of Jamaican roots music, while pushing the envelope. “It’s not as traditional as my last album, but it’s still authentic,” explains Protoje. “It’s more innovative, more global and more experimental.
