Cas Haley

Texas native Cas Haley is a singer, songwriter, and guitarist whose sound blends soulful contemporary pop and blues with a foundational reggae and surf-roots style. He first gained national recognition as a runner-up on America's Got Talent, utilizing his distinct vocal delivery and rhythm-driven guitar arrangements to win over a massive television audience. Opting for a path that prioritized authentic songwriting over standard music industry expectations, Haley quickly established a dedicated following drawn to his uplifting lyrical messages of community, family, and resilience. Haley aligned with Easy Star Records for the release of his sophomore studio album, Connection, in 2010. The record debuted at number two on the Billboard Reggae Albums chart and featured enduring tracks like the lead single "Better," "Release Me (The Fear)," and a reggae-infused cover of Alicia Keys' "No One." He subsequently expanded his catalog with the label by issuing the holiday-themed Gifts to Give EP, followed by his 2013 full-length album, La Si Dah. Co-produced alongside Grammy-winning engineer Rob Fraboni, La Si Dah showcased a further evolution of Haley's songwriting, exploring a wider array of genre-blending influences while maintaining his core reggae-pop sensibilities. Beyond his solo albums, Haley has maintained an active collaborative presence within the broader Easy Star family. He contributed lead vocals to a reggae reimagining of "Human Nature" for the Easy Star All-Stars' 2012 Michael Jackson tribute album, Easy Star's Thrillah. Continuing this collaborative trajectory, Haley recently partnered with fellow label artist HIRIE for the soulful 2025 single "Messing Around," which was featured on her album Phases, and he also contributed to the imprint's Brooklyn Riddim compilation. Whether navigating classic reggae grooves, stripped-down acoustic arrangements, or blues influences, Haley consistently balances sharp musicianship with grounding themes of positivity and unity.
