Cedric Myton
Cedric Myton is a legendary Jamaican falsetto vocalist best known as a founding member of the iconic roots reggae vocal group The Congos. Alongside Roydel Johnson, Myton recorded the seminal 1977 album "Heart of the Congos" at Lee "Scratch" Perry's legendary Black Ark studio, creating what is widely considered a masterpiece of the era.
Myton's ethereal, high-pitched vocal harmonies provide a deeply spectral, spiritual texture to classic Jamaican roots music. He continues to perform globally, both as a solo artist and with various incarnations of The Congos, preserving the mystical sound of 1970s roots reggae.
