Barrington Levy is an internationally renowned Jamaican reggae and dancehall vocalist, widely celebrated as the "Mellow Canary" due to his distinctive, clear tenor and signature vocal phrasing. Breaking into the scene in the late 1970s, he was one of the first artists to popularize the dancehall style, scoring massive early hits with producer Henry "Junjo" Lawes and the Roots Radics band.

Decades into his career, Levy's catalog includes enduring global anthems such as "Here I Come," "Under Mi Sensi," and "Murderer." His unique voice and ad-libs have been heavily sampled across multiple genres, including hip-hop and drum and bass, solidifying his status as a living legend and a foundational pillar of modern Jamaican music.
