Royal Blu teams up with GRAMMY winner Kabaka Pyramid and The Autos production collective to deliver this inspiring roots reggae anthem.
This follows two previous singles Blu worked with The Autos (“Dancehall Session” and “Artillery”) while also representing the first new single from Blu’s upcoming full-length debut album, due later this year. The whole project is being overseen by G.wav, which is a new quartet of producers and artists (Runkus, Royal Blu, Kalex, and RiddimBoss) out of Jamaica.
Blu says of the track: “For as long as I’ve known myself, I’ve practiced always saying a prayer whenever I’m going out. I grew up in a place called Spanish Town, where anything can happen at any time, anywhere. So claiming that divine protection and guidance was, and still is, necessary to me, to help me navigate my way through the darkness. That’s what ‘Light My Way’ represents for me.”
