CONNECTION BY CAS HALEY
Cas Haley’s debut with Easy Star Records was one of his strongest records and truly reflected what was in his heart. Having had enormous success with his appearance on America’s Got Talent, his cover of “Walking On The Moon,” and his debut album, he found himself trapped in a career that didn’t represent who he was or where he wanted to end up musically. So he walked away from it and produced his own record, with amazing results on very personal tracks like “Better,” “Release Me (The Fear),” and “Time And Truth,” among many others. His cover of Alicia Keys’ “No One” is a stand out, plus you can see Cas start to move towards the soul/funk and Americana that would begin to seep more heavily into his music on many other tracks on the album.

“Cas Haley’s debut album on Easy Star Records titled Connection is an excellent addition to any reggae music fan’s catalog. His reggae influence is heard throughout the entire album along with hints of soul, blues and pop.” – The Pier
“Connection sounds organic rather than slick, and Haley comes across as someone who is seriously immersed in reggae; not someone who has only a casual interest in reggae and decided to throw in some reggae beats here and there.” – AllMusic
