LEAN BY JONQUAN AND DANNY REBEL

In a short time, since the release of the first single from this exciting debut album, JonQuan has gone from being a relatively unknown producer/keyboardist from the Virginia Beach-based band Buddha Council to being the buzz of the reggae world. Early singles from the upcoming EASY STAR RECORDS PRESENTS JONQUAN & ASSOCIATES have garnered raves and repeat airplay from David Rodigan, the dean of UK reggae, as well as positive notices from tastemakers from the West coast of the US, Canada and Jamaica to Germany, France, and Italy. Working closely with two time Latin GRAMMY winner Victor Rice (Easy Star All-Stars, Bixiga 70, Ticklah), JonQuan has fashioned brand new tunes that evoke the majesty of the golden age of reggae. The next single – “Lean” – is a collaboration with the one of a kind singer Danny Rebel from Montreal, Canada. Rebel is the frontman for Danny Rebel & The KGB, who have been one of the leading bands in the Montreal ska/reggae/rock steady scene since 2007.
