EASY STAR ALL-STARS SUPPORT ROTOTOM

The news recently came across that the great Italian reggae festival Rototom Sunsplash, which the Easy Star All-Stars have played twice (including earlier this year), has come under attack by Italian police and judges and is being forced to cancel operations in Italy. The claim is that reggae fans are criminals because of their smoking of ganja; the police have put increasing pressure on the directors of the festival and now they have responded by moving the festival to Spain in 2010. The Easy Star All-Stars play two shows in Italy November 18-19 and have dedicated their shows to supporting Rototom. Ras I-Ray and Menny More of the group even recorded a message of support while on the road in Austria, which was shown on a big screen at a support rally for the festival in Ossoppo this past friday.
